- Meet your guide at your hotel and travel to Lamphun. Visit Wat Phra That Hariphunchai for its golden chedi and immense bronze gong, then see the five-tiered chedi lined with Buddha images at Wat Ku Kut. Continue to Lampang and pause for lunch at a local restaurant. Explore the old centre by colourful horse carriage, passing wooden Northern Thai houses and ornate Burmese-style buildings. Visit Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao for its glass mosaics and Burmese details, then stop at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, an outstanding example of wooden Lanna architecture, before returning to Chiang Mai.
