A little planning before the island
These are different arrangements. A pier drop-off ends on the mainland. An island hotel transfer includes taking a suitable vehicle across by ferry and continuing to the agreed hotel. Give us the hotel name and check which arrangement, ferry tickets and passenger numbers your quotation covers.
Road traffic, ferry queues and the crossing all contribute to the journey. Let us review your pickup time against the ferry service for your travel date. We do not promise a fixed arrival time at the hotel, and a late flight may mean planning an overnight stay on the mainland.
Tell us about suitcases, strollers and child-seat needs before choosing a car or van. Island roads and hotel access also matter when selecting the vehicle. For extra stops or an unusual hotel location, agree the route and price with our team first.
Share your return flight or onward appointment as well as your island hotel. The departure plan needs to allow for the ferry and road journey, not just driving time. Tell us if your flight changes so we can review the pickup arrangements.

Before your Koh Chang transfer
- Will you take us to our hotel on Koh Chang or only to the pier?
- We can arrange either a mainland pier drop-off or a transfer across to an island hotel in a suitable vehicle. Please provide the hotel name and check the destination on your quotation and booking confirmation. A mainland pier price should not be assumed to include the island hotel journey.
- Are the Koh Chang ferry tickets included?
- Check the ferry arrangement stated in your quotation. For an agreed through-transfer to an island hotel, we confirm the vehicle crossing and passenger tickets as part of that arrangement. A mainland pier drop-off does not automatically include ferry travel.
- Can we travel to Koh Chang after a late flight?
- Send your flight number and arrival date before confirming. We need to allow for airport formalities, the drive to the pier and the ferry service on that day. If the connection is not practical, discuss a mainland overnight stay and a later transfer rather than relying on the last ferry.
- What time should we leave Koh Chang for a flight from Bangkok?
- There is no single pickup time for every hotel and flight. Send the hotel name, airport and flight details so we can plan around the ferry, road journey and airport check-in. Queues and weather can affect the crossing, so allow a comfortable margin.
