"If you’re ever coming, I cannot more highly recommend Oriental Escapes Airport VIP service. We had a wonderful concierge waiting for us at the end of the ramp off the plane with the classic name sign. She wanted to take all our carryon’s right away but I’m bad at letting people do things. She took us straight to a VIP immigration queue (which had exactly 1 person ahead of us) and we were through immigration in less than 10 minutes. Average queue time is often between 1 and 3 hours right now. She was communicating the whole time with her “guy in a chair” so she knew which bag claim to take us to and grabbed us the prime spot. She was met by 2 porters, and they legit wouldn’t let me even lift a finger to help with that other than to point. They got all our bags and one was missing. She had me describe it and about 45 seconds later I was looking at a picture of it to verify, then she led us to oversize baggage (it wasn’t oversized, so I dunno, I’m not sure I’d have even found the thing as tired as we were). From there, she took us out the VIP area where customs officers basically just waved (like, from about 12’ away) straight to our private transit van where everything was loaded for us. We got in the nicely appointed (not crazy lux but nice) van and the driver had water bottles for us, then took us on the 40min drive to our hotel and then unloaded for us (I did help with that as the porters didn’t come with us). All of that from plane to hotel was such a good value for the 3 of us. That was 7 bags at just under 50lbs each. I was just immensely grateful at the end of a super long 36 hour trip for the fantastic help in an unfamiliar and chaotic airport. Not having to really think at all and just follow along was so very, VERY helpful!"
