Experience a smooth and scenic overland journey from Bangkok to the mainland pier serving Koh Chang. Despite the relatively moderate distance, the drive can take between 5–6 hours, especially during rainy conditions or weekend traffic. Our route includes expressways and the newly improved motorways for optimal speed and comfort, with opportunities to stop for refreshments along the way. For guests heading to Koh Chang, we offer two options: 1. Mainland Pier Drop-off: Our standard service delivers you safely to the pier (such as Ao Thammachat or Center Point), ideal if your resort provides a pickup service or ferry package. 2. On-Island Resort Drop-off: If you’d like to be driven all the way to your resort on Koh Chang, we also offer a combined transfer including ferry ticket (car and passengers). This service is available only with sedan or minivan vehicles, as large coaches are not suitable for the island’s hilly roads. Ferries to Koh Chang operate approximately every 45–60 minutes between 06:30–19:00 hrs. The crossing takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on weather. During high season, ferries run frequently. In low season, service may reduce to 4–6 trips per day. Important: When boarding the ferry with a vehicle, passengers must exit the car and sit in the ferry’s lounge area. For safety reasons, keeping the engine running or staying inside the car is strictly prohibited. To ensure a smooth arrival, please advise your ferry pier and hotel name when booking, especially if your hotel offers a private speedboat or pickup. For return transfers, let us know your flight time so we can plan departure from the island accordingly.
