Day 1: Bangkok / Arrival

Arrive at Bangkok International Airport, meet your English-speaking guide, and transfer to your hotel for check-in and a briefing on your upcoming journey.
Day 2: Bangkok / Wat Pho, Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha Temple, Thonburi Canal
A grand overland journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai via the floating market, River Kwai, Erawan Waterfall, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai and the highlights of Chiang Rai.
Meet your guide at your hotel and visit Wat Pho to see its graceful temple grounds and immense reclining Buddha.
Continue to Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha, and explore the richly decorated halls and courtyards of the Grand Palace.

Cruise aboard a comfortable Long-Tail Motor Boat along the Chao Phraya River and through the canals of Thonburi, taking in colourful scenes of Thai riverside life.
Visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), its main shrine decorated with glazed ornaments and ceramics rising 67 metres toward the sky. Return to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Bangkok / Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Kanchanaburi
A grand overland journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai via the floating market, River Kwai, Erawan Waterfall, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai and the highlights of Chiang Rai.
Check out from the hotel and depart to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (1½ hours' drive). The journey begins with a leisurely drive through rice paddies and salt fields, followed by a boat ride among shopping boats selling local produce and crafts.
Continue to Kanchanaburi (2½ hours' drive), Thailand's third-largest province, with mountainous terrain along the western border with Myanmar.
Pause for lunch at a local restaurant.
Take a ride through history aboard the Death Railway Train along scenic routes past mountains and the River Kwai.
Visit the Bridge over the River Kwai, part of the Death Railway constructed by Allied prisoners of war, and the JEATH War Museum, a realistic depiction of prisoner-of-war living quarters. After the visit, transfer to your hotel for check-in and leisure time.

Day 4: Kanchanaburi / Erawan Waterfall, Bang Pa-In Palace & Ayutthaya

Day 5: Ayutthaya / Ayutthaya Historical Park, Lopburi & Phitsanulok

Day 6: Phitsanulok / Sukhothai Historical Park, Phayao & Chiang Rai
