A two hours driver though a lush tropical landscape south off Hua Hin to Huay Yang Waterfall. This 16-square kilometre-park covers a forested area on the Tanao Si Mountain Range. The highest elevation is the 1,251-metre Khao Luang mountain.
We will hike the trail along the Huay Yang waterfall amids lush forest. The fall has 10 levels but tourists are allowed to visit only 7 levels. The first level (bottom level) is 400 meters walk from the head quarters. The levels of the fall are not far from each other, and there are pools of clear water good for swimming. The trail up to the level five is not difficult, and is a popular trail and we could meet other visitors.
After lunch, we wil visit the famous Mirror Mountain or Khao Chong Krachok. From the foot of the hill in the north of the town, up 395 steps, sits a much revered monastery. There is a small pagoda and a troop of playful monkeys. From the top you can enjoy great view over the bay and the Tennaserim mountain range, which is the natural border with Burma and the narrowest part of Thailand. |
