| Wit never suggested me to visit souvenir shops. He not interested in having me buy expensive gifts from which he would receive a commission. Wit is fluent in local languages, familiar with all the most interesting sites, and knew myriad shortcuts and ways for me to get the most bang for my buck. They knew which local restaurants to go to and arranged for the dishes I would like best. I was not penned up in a bus and given a rehearsed monologue by a guide with a microphone, who would not so much as stop the vehicle to let me take a photograph of an irresistably picturesque scene. He listened to me, and studied the list of sites and scenes I wanted to experience. He took me to a supermarket, a bookstore, babylon, museums, kick boxing, whatever I asked for.
